The 13th Annual Rolan International Film Festival for Children and Youth will be held at TUMO Yerevan from November 7 to 11. This is a fun opportunity to take part in free master classes and film screenings, including a screening of 2017 Academy Award-winning Best Live Action Short Film, Sing.

“Sing” Film Screening. The 2017 Academy Award-winning Best Live Action Short Film. Young Zsofi is having a hard time fitting in at her new school, and her distress grows when the choir director treats her cruelly despite her love of singing. Along with her friend Liza, Zsofi investigates the revered teacher in an attempt to reveal her true nature. The film will be shown with Armenian subtitles.

“Operation Stone” Film Screening. The year is 1949, in Central Europe. A man is trying to cross the iron curtain with his son. They land in the hands of U.S. Army soldiers at a temporary military base. The film will be shown with Armenian subtitles.

Following the film screening, there will be a meet and greet with "Sing" cinematographer Robert Maly, and Tamás Gábeli, the director of the Budapest Short Film Festival and Founder of Young Cinematographers’ Support Fund. Register here: goo.gl/mTfe7p
